Automotive and Transportation PVB Interlayers Market

PVB interlayers are thin protective films made from polyvinyl butyral resin, sandwiched between two panels of glass. These interlayers possess the properties of optical clarity, strong bond, toughness, flexibility, and adhesion to various surfaces. The laminated glasses made from interlayers are used in automobile, construction, and photovoltaic industries as protectors to provide protection from projectiles, acoustic insulation, UV insulation, and safety & security. The increasing production of vehicles and mandatory safety glass regulations are the major factors driving the PVB interlayers market.

Additionally, these interlayers have limitations, such lower strength and increased weight in comparison to monolithic glass.
